Unaffected by the economic crisis, UW Partner growth up 75% vs. June 2019 – fast becoming a household name
It has long been known that Utility Warehouse (UW) is a company that is seemingly unaffected by economic crisis. Some say that UW is recession proof. When you consider the essential nature of UW services, it is easy to see that regardless of financial pressure, how people are unable to do without gas, electricity, mobile, broadband and landline. Looking at UW’s course through the coronavirus crisis strongly supports this thinking.
UW responded swiftly to social distancing by providing their Partners with the tools to sign-up new customers and Partners remotely. These tools were backed with training, incentives, and further innovation. The outcome has been continued growth in both new Partners and Members joining UW. For June, customers sign-ups were up 23% on May, plus significantly up on June 2019 and amazingly, June 2020 has been the strongest June in four years. This has all been despite the country being in lock-down and all made possible through strong leadership and companies launch of work-from-home, remote sign-up tools.
On top of this strong customer growth, new UW Partner growth was up by 75% vs. June 2019. This equates to 50 new UW Partners joining Team Purple every day of the month. Given the continued economic uncertainty it is inevitable that this trend will continue, as greater numbers of people find themselves searching for alternative sources of income. As the country comes out of lock down and millions of people come to the end of their furlough, UW will be a financial safety net for thousands.
As UW market share continues ever upward, it now seems inevitable that UW will become a household name vs. being the largest UK company that people have never heard of. An army of UW Partners will see to this, whilst unaffected by the economic crisis and the coronavirus they proudly go about the business of sharing with the nation what UW has to offer. Onwards and upwards as CEO Andrew Lindsay would say. It is the perfect time to be joining UW.
