Popular & much loved Utility Warehouse Partner passes away but leaves a growing legacy within her team

Promotion to Team Leader – Mairi MacLeod. I mentioned the promo of Zoe Jeffries to STL; Andrew Stinchcomb to GL and Mike & Jayne Evans to SGL this week. There was one part of the jigsaw I didn’t mention.

The Weekly News this weekend will include one special promotion which happened earlier this week, which I thought I would hold off sharing until today, so it gets the appropriate airtime it deserves in amongst the rest of the noise!

Many of you will know that Mairi Macleod passed away earlier this month, aged 50, leaving behind Niall and Hannah, her two young children. She touched the hearts of many UW people with her brave fight against cancer.

Even when you die, if you do this right, the business lives on, and when Christina Seaton qualified this week, this meant Mairi became Team Leader. When Mairi knew her time was limited she got 15 customers in about 6 weeks to get into the 50plus club and worked on pushing her team to TL as she really wanted to be a key part of the promotions of Zoe, Andrew, Mike & Jayne and myself to our respective positions. Although she sadly didn’t live to see that happen, I am pleased it happened in the month within which she was still with us, and I am pretty sure she will be looking down with a big smile. Enjoy this short tribute video to Mairi, which was from January this year at The Big Kick Off in Slough.
