To succeed in building a large Utility Warehouse, be honest, have integrity and be trustworthy in all things
“Relationships of trust depend on our willingness to look not only to our own interests, but also the interests of others.” Peter Farquhars.
Doesn’t this quote sum up our great business opportunity perfectly. Another quote I’m particularly fond of comes from the great Zig Ziglar, and goes like this, “If you just go out and help enough people to get what they want, then you will ultimately get what you want”.
I just love this great Company and business. I remember way back in February 1998 when I first met Charles Wigoder (at the then Telecom Plus headquarters, a converted pub in Henley!), shortly after he had bought the Company. I had read up on his previous success with Peoples Phone, and, after a brief discussion, decided that I would trust Charles. He seemed very confident in what he was doing, and had the self-assured nature of a highly successful businessman.
He was respected by those around him, and he gave me the impression that we, and Telecom Plus, would be in safe hands. Most importantly, he drove off in a blue Mercedes 500, a car that I thought I would look good in too!
What a great decision that turned out to be, for both of us. On our journey together, he has shared with me some insights into what it takes to build a successful company, and I have shared with him some insights into what it takes to build a successful network, and together we have complimented and trusted each other with our respective experience and expertise.
Now, how does ‘trust’ work in your Utility Warehouse business?
- firstly, you don’t have to worry about the Company, just trust them. I’ve trusted them for 15 years and I have not been disappointed,
- secondly, have faith in your own ability, trusting your own instincts.
- thirdly, trust in the old adage that most people are good, until they prove you wrong, so be prepared to trust them in the first instance.
At Express Day, our Chief Executive, Andrew Lindsay, announced that his vision was for the Company to become the Nation’s Most Trusted Utility Supplier, so, to help us achieve that aim, why don’t you make it your mission to become the most trusted person in your area, providing great savings for your neighbours, and offering a good, honest, business opportunity from a trusted, successful British PLC.
“If you just go out and help enough people to get what they want, then you will ultimately get what you want.”
