When is the best time to join Utility Warehouse (UW)? Wes Linden discusses the importance of timing
Whilst joining Utility Warehouse (UW) costs just £100, or £50 for existing customers – it is important to recognise that joining UW is not really (just) a £50 or £100 decision! For most people, to start their own business can never be a spontaneous decision. It takes some research, thinking and sometimes to ask the question – when is the best time to join Utility Warehouse? And having thought about it and looked at the potential benefits of becoming a UW Partner, for most people it then becomes apparent that this is far more than a £100 decision – and that’s a good thing because the true value of our UW work-from-home ‘business in a box’ cannot be measured against this token registration fee. Its potential financial benefits can easily be misjudged on the face value of this ‘price tag’!
Take your time, join for your reasons
In the short training video below, National Network Leader Wes Linden discusses how this decision-making process feels from the other side of the fence i.e. for existing UW Partners who are motivated to help new Partners to get started and sometimes forget that everyone has a best time to join Utility Warehouse. It is important to respect that people join UW when the time is right for them – that might be today, tomorrow, next month, next year or never.
Therefore, if you are looking to join UW – take your time, join for your reasons and do not be swayed by anyone else’s agenda. Request an online presentation. Take time to attend a Career Opportunity Presentation. Read about the benefits of being a UW Member and perhaps even start by becoming a Member (customer) first. Watch all the UW Stories. Most importantly, get your questions answered and Join UW when the time is right for you!
When is the best time to join Utility Warehouse? - transcript
We have a go at talking to them about UW and seeing where they are at and asking some questions to find out what it is that is not right for them right now. But ultimately, we are going to, in many of those cases, end up in a situation where they are not going to join UW right now. But here’s the thing, you joined almost certainly when the timing was right for you. So why would we not be okay with people joining UW when the timing is right for them? Well, of course one of the reasons is because we’ve now got the countdown clock on the Partner Portal. “You’ve got four days to get your bonus. You’ve got seven customers so far, just another three and you get this.” Or, “Oh no, there’s pizza Tuesday next week, I really want to get the piggy. I really want to get to Future Team Leader (FTL) so that everybody claps me.” No – but that does not matter does it?
And yet we transfer that onto the person who is considering joining UW, and that is something we need to look to avoid. But would it not be fair to say that saving money and/or making money is overall like a good thing? Yes. So, it would be fair to say that at some point in someone’s life it may well be the right time for them. It just may not be the right time right now.
